TOMORROW IS TODAY
Songs of love, beauty and the passing of time
"Five-part Papagena are a class act...I was a fan before; this confirms the creativity, skill and musicianship of a group that deserves King’s Singers levels of success and attention.”
— Alexandra Coghlan, Gramophone Magazine, June 2026
Tomorrow is Today features music from Papagena’s latest album, demonstrating “impeccable virtuosity and clear joy in singing together, in music stretching from medieval to modern” (Gramophone Magazine). Papagena showcases a dazzling range of genres including medieval and renaissance motets, folk music from Bulgaria, Ukraine and the UK, arrangements of baroque works by Monteverdi and Purcell, and contemporary pieces by Caroline Shaw, Kate Bush, Janet Wheeler and its own singers. The programme is entirely a cappella and weaves a narrative for the listener around themes of time, love and beauty sacred and profane.
