A WINTER'S DAWN

carols, lullabies and songs of hope

Papagena’s atmospheric Winter’s Dawn programme includes music from across Europe and beyond, including contemporary angel songs by Errollyn Wallen and Dobrinka Tabakova, medieval English Christmas chants and Latin American Baroque motets, Celtic and Canadian winter songs and traditional carols. The programme may be performed either unaccompanied or with harp in a version featuring accompanied works by both Imogen and Gustav Holst.

Programme length:

 

Either 60-75 minutes (without interval) or

Two halves of 45 minutes each plus interval

Technical requirements:

5 music stands (plus 1 more in harp version)

5 chairs (plus 1 more in harp version)

If the acoustic requires it, a microphone (for spoken introductions)
